“New Year, New Me” (ish)

As the end of the year approached, I thought to myself, when was the last time I did something creative? And although my job keeps me somewhat creative, I thought, when was the last time I did something creative for myself? Now I’ve always been someone who likes to get my hands dirty; craft, put collages together, cut up clothing just for the hell of it, but since starting my job in September I haven’t had the thought (or the chance) to do just that. What am I getting at here you might ask? My first blog post. Hi, how are ya.

Here is where I begin: with the new year, new resolutions are made (obviously) but it felt like good a time as ever to start what’s been in the back of my head, brewing, for what seems like forever. I wanted to make a blog! Unapologetic, witty, and hopefully informative, I wanted to take a risk and start one. I wanted a place where I could sit down, hash out what I liked and what was interesting to me, in a place that was my own! So hey here we are....Progress! I’m doing this for consistency, creativity, and what feels like a plunge into a place I’m not too familiar with (but would like to). Patrician Lane is me, writing about topics I love with my own opinions attached! I hope this brings about conversation, laughter, and hopefully light-hearted fun to this platform.
