It feels like forever since I've sat down and just wrote. Actually almost a month, but still seems like a long time. Lots have been happening since the last time I blogged. Mainly I started a new job and have been wanting to acclimate to the position, plus life getting in the way. Since the middle of June, I've been a Senior Stylist for Free People. This has been a career path that I've been journeying towards for a long time. Up until this point I was a 'stylist' (someone who determines the clothes one will wear for events/parties/just life in general) but without the recognition or title. I was doing the job but spinning my wheels... until this past month! I've been really trying to put as much into the position as possible and acclimating to the new environment. I moved locations, have new coworkers, and more responsibility! It's been a combination of nerves and excitement to say the least.

With that came the idea of wanting to dive more into the content I'm trying to create and be more present online. This all started when my sweet boyfriend lent me his awesome Canon camera. I had always wanted to use my own pictures and media for my blog / social media but it was hard with just an iPhone and well, me, to shoot. I wanted to be in the photos, showcasing my clothing style and just have a fun time being in front of the camera. I've been taking time this past month to figure that out. I'm still so new to photography and have barely created what I want my platform to look like. I want it to be easy, fun and how I want to be viewed. Definitely still a heck of a work in progress but that's been a fun journey for me.
July marks half a year living out on my own and more than half a year blogging! My goals are still the same as before but with more intention involved. I've tried to be more reflective lately as this year has been very good to me thus far *knock on wood.* There's a piece of paper in my bathroom with all my goals listed in order. It reminds me of the things I'm going after and it makes this avenue of expression that much more important going forward.

Do you have any goals / intentions that you're working on?? What has the first part of this year taught you so far? Let me know!
