Travel has always been a constant in my life since I was a young girl. I was lucky enough to go on vacations with both my mom and my dad every year... sometimes to San Francisco, Chicago, Hawaii, Arizona, and Oregon to name a few. These trips were always sentimental journeys to take time away from work (or for me school) and spend uninterrupted time with family! I've adopted this travel bug over the years and am grateful for all the places I've seen around the world. Now that I'm *more of* an adult, it gets hard to step away and take time to explore. Fortunately for me, I had my closest college friend (who I studied abroad with) moving to Toronto, Canada! I was bummed when I wasn't able to say goodbye to her in February but I thought, "hey, why not visit?" I ran it by her and the planning and excitement began!! I visited her the first week of May and now that I'm back, what better way to share my journey than with a travel itinerary!

Our days included window shopping in places like Queen St. and Eaton Centre, drinking Tim Hortons coffee (delish) and taking the subway, trying to navigate our way around. There are many cool markets to check out if you're ever visiting Toronto. Three of the ones we visited were St. Lawrence Market, Distillery District, and Kensington Market. Both indoor and outdoor, they are filled with really good looking food and fun shops to peek your head into.

We packed our days in thoroughly, traveling by bus / subway or on foot. There's tons to see all around the city! Since it's now spring, cherry blossoms were supposed to appear in High Park. We decided to go twice only to be disappointed, but the park was beautiful, right along the lake with nice paths to walk to. We also visited Graffiti Alley, which an awesome photo op. And lastly we went down to the Harbourfront which is another great place to walk around when the sun is shining. You can see the island and take a ferry across if you wish or visit one of the restaurants on the water. Lastly, we went to a Toronto Blue Jays baseball game.

Lastly, the food! Toronto is like any big city where there's tons of options to eat! Since I was staying with Natalia we ate at home most nights but still really great! We ate at a really great Mexican restaurant in the Distillery District, ate a British pub, tried some famous poutine (YUCK x100) and visited a cute coffee shop!

Overall, I had such a sweet time with a sweet friend who I already miss dearly!! I definitely have more trips in store for the rest of the year and love being able to share with you. Have you ever been to Toronto before? Have a good recommendations for my next trip there? Let me know!
