With the announcement of the theme of the Met Gala as "Camp: Notes on Fashion" for its 2019 exhibition, what will be seeing this year? As Hollywood's elite join together for Anna Wintour's most notable party, the theme is described by Gucci's creative director, Alessandro Michele, "perfectly expresses what camp truly means to me: the unique ability of combining high art and pop culture.” It evokes elements of “irony, humor, parody, pastiche, artifice, theatricality, excess, extravagance, nostalgia, and exaggeration”.... all of which Gucci truly exemplifies. Presented in the Met Fifth Avenue’s Iris and B. Gerald Cantor Exhibition Hall, "Camp: Notes on Fashion" will be co-hosted by Lady Gaga, Harry Styles, and Serena Williams. As we wait for May 6th and dream about the lavish costumes that will grace our favorite celebrities, I wanted to take a look back at Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and Catholic Imagination, last years theme and share my favorite looks!

I'm always amazed at the sheer talent and imagination each designer comes up every year! I'm so excited to see what "Camp" Notes on Fashion" brings out this year. What are your favorite costumes and what do you hope to see this year?
